The first time michigan didn't gain any rushing yards at home?

I'll take it one further. When's the last time-if ever-that a team had negative rushing yards in back to back. How is that even possible? I never woulda thunk you could do that if you purposely ran backwards.

ESPN did some useful research

From 2000-12, Michigan had just one game with negative rushing yardage (minus-5 against Oregon in 2003). And in the past five seasons, the only FBS team to go consecutive games with negative rushing yardage was Washington State, which did it last year en route to a 3-9 record.

Michigan’s minus-48 rushing yards last weekend against Michigan State and its minus-21 against Nebraska make the Wolverines the only FBS team in the past decade to record consecutive minus-20-yard games.

The '03 UO-UM game was at Eugene, not Ann Arbor . If they can't find anything later than 2000 then I guess we are the only team to not allow michigan a single rushing yard in their own stadium

In addition to games mentioned by others, I *think* we held Oklahoma St to negative rushing yards the year they tried to claim they had the new Triplets. Huskers took offense to that as I recall and stomped them good.

More fun stats:

Before the MSU game, Michigan had rushed for at least 100 yards in 12 straight games.

Michigan only had negative rushing yards once from 2000-2012 (Oregon in 2003)
