Pelini Predictions

That's probably why they shouldn't offer Frost. He's basically the same candidate Bo Pelini was in 07
with a lot less experience...
That doesn't make any sense. They're not the same person. Bo has made mistakes, especially when picking his staff, that nobody should ever make. You don't hire your buddies or your brothers when they're not qualified. Bo also hasn't improved one iota in those six years. Stupid penalties. Turnovers. Bad game plans. Bad recruiting classes. Bad losses. Bad wins. Time to shake his hand and wish him luck at his next destination. I'll even put on my Big Red lipstick and kiss his a$$ out of town.

Scott may or may not be the answer. I don't know. I don't know him. I'd take him if he answers questions the way I'd want him to if I were Eichort. A young, energetic coach with new ideas may be exactly what our program needs. It may also need an older guy with a steady hand and a well known, winning background. That's why there's an interview process.
The pitchfork and torch contingent of the board continue to crack me up...

"We want Bo gone, we'll kick his out the door in our Big Red Boots, but we have no idea who to replace him with"
I have several people who I'd replace him with. And I'm sure the guy above my skill set and actually has the authority does too.

Anybody who thinks Scott Frost should be seriously considered for the head coaching position at Nebraska if Pelini leaves at the end of the year has absolutely no idea what they're talking about.

Scott Frost is a few years away from a head coaching position, and even then, he's probably a mid-to-lower tier hire. You take a HUGE risk hiring Scott Frost as a head coach. A laughably huge risk.

How are there people that actually think he might leave on his own accord?? Wouldn't that pretty much nullify his contract and mean he wouldn't receive any of that remaining money? Am i missing something here??
Bo won't leave on his own.......he has nowhere else to go, he would face a self imposed demotion.

This x100

a blow out loss in any bowl game will send him packing......
If he's coaching the bowl game, odds are are heavily tilted towards him staying. The AD would not sacrifice 5 weeks of recruiting a new coach to see what Bo does in a bowl. By then, half the available positions will be filled by potential coaches and we'd be behind the game. Most of the great hires are already done by January 1st...which is why we always have that "will he coach in the bowl game?" question surrounding the latest hot commodity hire. (Bo included 2007ish)

who are they?

Chris Petersen (and he'd come to NU)

Greg Roman

Tressel

--actually I trust Eichorst, that's my wishlist, but I feel he was hired to do something.

Roman was about the only realistic choice in the bunch...
