Nebraska plays PSU tomorrow...

Redux

Assistant Coach
If anyone still gives a hoot about the current season, we play Penn State tomorrow. Bo will be coach for that game. Not Jim Tressel, Mark Richt, Chris Petersen, or Scott Frost. Bo M.F.ing Pelini. We are 7-3 they are 6-4.We need this more than you PSU and were gonna take it from you. Im distracted by the nonsense but Im ready to get back to football. Go Big Red.

If you had to choose between those four, who do you got?

Of those four I choose Bo. I like what Bo has done with the program. The blow out losses are unfortunate, but the stuff he's done off the field should off set what's happened on the field. The fact that he's had the highest graduation rate in NU history has to mean something. As long as he doesn't lose the next two games, he should get at least one more year. the progress he's made with this defense the last few games. It's hard for a defense to hold an offense from scoring, when the offense only has to go 45 yards for 24 points. Special teams needs to change, because it's been a veritable sh*t show since Paul left.

One more year, and if he doesn't have a decent conference showing next year, he should be out.

Chris Petersen

Mark Richt

Jim Tressel

Bo Pelini

Scott Frost

In order of preference.
Why Mark Richt over Bo? Richt hasn't really done anything Bo hasn't done. I don't understand why people oogle over this guy, when he can't win the SEC with all the talent he has had there. More talent in assistants and roster than NU has, and can't do crap with it.

Same with Chris Petersen. The guy can't even go undefeated in a crap conference.

Frost, unproven and folded against Stanford. Why even consider him? To gripe and complain we have another HC with no experience and wonder why our recruiting is subpar once again?

I would put Kirby Smart above Petersen, Richt and Frost. At least Smart has BCS championships as a DC, and as we all know, defenses win championships.

It's hard to choose Peterson because of what happened to the last Boise State coach that jumped to a BCS conference. I do think that Peterson is a better coach than Hawkins, but how much of his success comes from that QB he had?

What happens if you curse loudly and throw your new iPad across an airplane cabin on a flight to Maui if something bad happens during a NU game? Kinda need to know fairly soon guys.

So this is where we are? More worried about where the program is headed 10 months from now than 12 hours from now. Tomorrows game is less important than who will replace a coach that is still actually the coach?

Is that game being played right now? Like at this very second...

Nope, sure isn't. Just sad to see that the drama surrounding the coach is more fascinating than the game itself.
