I was in Memorial Stadium when the Huskers played Texas during Cally's tenure. It was very cold and blustery with snow showers off and on all afternoon. A great day for football as was the game this past saturday.
Weather is actually one of the reasons I hate baseball.
If they would actually play in the elements, I might tune in.
Hes pretty good at killing thingsWeather is actually one of the reasons I hate baseball.

Kinda difficult considering if Randy Johnson ever lost control of a fast ball because of a ball being too wet it might actually kill someone.
made me think about the SEC...no wonder those kids dont want to come north...they have never played in anything like that...
Cant wait until one of the warm weather Pac 12 teams has to play in Boulder when its really nasty (if they haven't already).made me think about the SEC...no wonder those kids dont want to come north...they have never played in anything like that...
Pretty sure USC played in the snow at Boulder last Saturday.Cant wait until one of the warm weather Pac 12 teams has to play in Boulder when its really nasty (if they haven't already).made me think about the SEC...no wonder those kids dont want to come north...they have never played in anything like that...
Who cares about NFLsucks futbol?
Yeah tell them that. Then watch the recruiters at UCLA, USC and the southern schools walk them around campus on a 75 degree day while the Jenn Sterger's of the world parade by in tank tops.In terms of recruiting kids from the south you just need to tell them that the NFL is a NORTHERN league and you might as well just get used to it because you are going to be playing in it eventually.made me think about the SEC...no wonder those kids dont want to come north...they have never played in anything like that...
Not be in the B1G.What do we have to do to get next fall's Miami game rescheduled for late November?
Can you name any times a marquee team from the south played a late season game in the north vs a decent program? The only one I can remember is FSU played at ND in Nov in 1993. I have to look at the rare times where bowl games replicated northern conditions (cold, wet, muddy, etc) and B1G won all these games. Late 90s Penn State's running game destroyed Auburn in a rain storm. 2008 Penn State over LSU in the Cap One bowl where the field was torn apart. 2009(?) Wisc was a heavy underdog and beat Miami in very cold conditions in Orlando. These conditions negated the SEC speed advantage and the B1G power, running games ruled the day.I loved it. I wish southern teams would come up north in November.
