Did Wisconsin and Michigan hurt Buckeyes today?

Wisconsin (Buckeyes best win) got upset at home by Penn State. Buckeyes won in an unimpressive fashion today against Michigan. Auburn just knocked off #1 Alabama. Plus you have the perception bias against the conference. Is it fair? No but that is what people think.

My BCS prediction tomorrow night . . .

1. Florida State (Duke)

2. Auburn (South Carolina, Missouri)

3. Alabama (season over)

4. Ohio State (Michigan State)

The Buckeye posters may not be happy to read this but I'm thinking this could happen? I could be wrong about all of this as well.

 
I could see some in the media stating what you have above (thank you Mark May) but I don't think it will happen in the BCS. However, you may have the AP poll correct. If OSU can beat Mich St., I think they make it to the MNC.

 
Yes. The SEC lovers on CBS already pointed out that OSU struggled with a poor Michigan team. They think a 1-loss SEC team is more deserving of a shot. They may be right, but that doesn't make 'it' the right thing to do.

Some odd stuff happens in rivalry games. Throw the records out the window.

 
Not going to happen. Ohio State is 12-0 they deserve to get in, and I think they will. On paper I think Auburn and Alabama are clearly better teams than them, but we don't have a playoff until next year to figure that out. As long as FSU and OSU win next week that'll be the national championship.

 
I think:

1 - FSU

2 - Auburn

3 - tOSU

4 - Bama

tOSU might barely hang on but I think Auburn will jump them if they win next week.

 
For some reason college football does not take into consideration home field advantage/long travel/team support etc, no idea why, while most,well all sports I'm aware off do so as the statistical chance for a win at home is up by roughly 50%. Also I don't know if these AP gents have watched to many games, I have a feeling most of them are in their 20's, as they haven't noticed yet how different and focused the teams become, it's really another level, it's far more intense then what you get even in a bowl game.

But hey, the consolation is that in 20-30 years when the playoffs are played by division champions in neutral locations, everyone will look back at these championships and have a chuckle.

 
I wonder if a late throttling of MSU can hurtle OSU over FSU? I just don't see auburn not getting in. They were #4, beat #1 and if they beat the new number 4, Mizzoi, they should jump into top 2.

and Auburn is SEC....can't possibly have 2 undefeated non-SEC teams play for the title if there are SEC teams that have only 1 loss.

 
If Ohio State was in Auburn'd position, having just beaten #1 and could beat #4 in a neutral game location next week, I would make the SAME argument.
