Rutgers

And you thought there was uproar about an undefeated WVU or Louiseville in the champ game......I can only imagine what Rutgers in that discussion will be.

Man was I wrong about Rutgers.

Very impressed!
their (Rutgers) D line averaged 254 lbs. against O line for Louie weighing 307 lbs...gave away over 50 lbs. per guy and ran around them and kept pressure on the qb and running backs...quickness often beats size, do we need to learn that lesson...?? speed, speed, speed!

I would hard to believe it's that uncommon for a defensive line to be lighter on average than an offensive line.

Plus were talking moving 10-15 yards, not 40 or 50.

That was a very exciting game. The coach should be all over the dumba$$ that jumped offsides on the missed fg attempt. Rutgers isn't out of the woods yet, still have to beat west virginia.

That stadium was rocking tonight. Students were waiting in line for tickets since Tuesday (I don't know how they handle their student tickets but they said that was unreal for them). Their whole student section was filled by noon today waiting for the game. I am glad they got the win. Hopefully they don't get that much disrespect from the polls and are able to move up quite a ways because of their impressive victory.

Wow Rutgers is definately for real! Beat Louisville 28-25
ths game illustrates why good defense is better than good offense. Athough ray rice is a stud...

Rutgers D is pretty intense. A former Miami D-coordintor for HC. NU could hang with both those teams, though. Would be interesting to get one of tehm in a bowl.

Mike Fullman ('95-'96) transferred from Rutgers to NU. Had 2 or 3 returns for TD's.

Congrats to them. I do think that the big east is overrated. Although I did think that Louisville would win.

I loved that passion and confidence the team played with. That team believes in the coach and his system and you could see that in the game. I believe Louisville was under 75 yds total offense in the second half. I don't think our defense could do that. If we played Louisville it would probably be a shoot out. Anyway, congrats to the Scarlet Nights.
