Right because everyone knows a national championship caliber team can in no way overcome an injury to their dynamic QB to still run the table, play for, and win the title.

It's never happened. Not once. Especially not in Nebraska.
Check your logic. I think you can find the problem. If not, I can give you some hints.
Either you're a troll, or logic is a foreign concept to you.

i agree. nebraska could have won a championship this year in the same way that any div. I team could have won a championship.

also, could you post the link to your ad hominem definition?

I certainly don't think the foundation is crumbling beneath Bo or anything. We have some promising talent coming in and if any of these QBs turns into a star, we could be on the verge of greatness. (By greatness I mean 12-0, assuming a relatively favorable schedule.) But I think that would include Bo taking a handful of significant steps towards improvement. And the problem is, I don't have the slightest bit of faith that he will. His pride and stubbornness seem nearly impenetrable.

Those steps would be:

  1. Start viewing yourself as the CEO of a major company rather than simply a defensive football coach.
  2. Reevaluate every single assistant coach on their own merit, regardless of your personal relationships with them. Firing people is the worst part of running a business, but it's also a necessary part.
  3. Reevaluate your entire practice philosophy. I don't know what the exact issues are, but I'm pretty confident that they are the direct cause of many of our ongoing issues with focus, discipline, mental toughness and basic fundamentals.
  4. Force the program to the cutting edge in strength, conditioning, nutrition and psychology. We will never again be head and shoulders above the competition in these areas like we were in the 80s and 90s, but that doesn't mean we can't make great progress and gain an advantage. This is a key area that I believe needs addressed if we want to consistently compete with Ohio State, and challenge for a national championship.

It's from Websters. Google "websters ad hominem definition".

Nebraska would've been undefeated right now with a 100% healthy Martinez. I don't believe you can say anything similar about 90% of the teams out there.

I know you're not a troll, just very optimistic.

Most (but not all) people can tell the difference between opinions and facts.

A smaller number can tell the difference between well supported opinions and unsupported opinions.
