In the coming months, as the 2014 draft nears, we will hear all about Teddy Bridgewater's lack of arm strength, size and other measurable qualities. But it's what is unseen that might propel the Louisville QB to be the No. 1 pick in May

Awesome MMQB article spotlighting a phenomenal quarterback.....as well as a quarterbacks coach we're a little familiar with.
I'm going to be a really bad poster:
I'm not going to read the article because
1. I admittedly have a pretty low football IQ and am not intimately familiar with the intricacies of the QB position or accessing talent
2. I don't have patience for puff pieces
...and I have no idea what direction you want this thread to go...bashing Bridgewater/Watson or praising them, but I'll just point out Watson's record which I'm sure all HB posters are aware of:
Watson's QB's, where are they now?
Louisville (2011-Present)
2011-13 Teddy Bridgewater -
?
2011 Will Stein - Was veteran QB at UL when Watson took over in '11. Bridgewater (a Freshman at the time) largely surplanted him as starter but just the same. Now a GA at UL.
Not an NFL success.
Nebraska* (2007-2010)
2010 Taylor Martinez - Martinez redshirted in '09 and only played for Watson in '10 so hard to say if its fair to tag him to Watson. Serious injury.
Career likely over. Not an NFL success.
2009 Zac Lee - UFA signed to the Seahawks, cut. Played in the UFL in '11...unseen since.
Not an NFL success.
2007-2008 Joe Ganz - Shared snaps with Keller in '07. Undrafted. Had tryout with Redskins, not signed.
Not an NFL success.
2007 Sam Keller - UFA signed to the Raiders, released. Played arena in '08...unseen since.
Not an NFL success.
*Nebraska fans, feel free to correct me on any of this
Colorado (1999-2005)
2003-05 Joel Klatt - Undrated. Sports radio personality in Denver.
Not an NFL success.
2002 Robert Hodge - Undrafted. Wrote a few articles for ESPN's Big 12 blog five years ago. Unseen since.
Not an NFL success.
2001 Bobby Pesavento - Undrafted. Now sells insurance.
Not an NFL success.
2000 Craig Ochs - Injury stricken, transferred to Montana, undrafted but signed with the Chargers, cut. Signed by the Bills, sent to NFL Europe. Later seen coaching at Montana.
Not an NFL success.
1999 Mike Moschetti - Undrafted. Coaches HS football.
Not an NFL success.
Northwestern (1997-1998)
1998 Gavin Hoffman - Transferred to UPenn. Unheard from since.
Not an NFL success.
1997 Tim Hughes - Undrafted and unheard from since.
Not an NFL success.
Miami (OH) (1992-1993)
1993 Danny Smith - Undrafted and unheard from since.
Not an NFL success.
1992 Neil Dougherty - Undrafted and unheard from since.
Not an NFL success.
Now on Bridgewater specifically, Louisville played, according to Sagarin, the 105th toughest schedule in the nation. They played some really bad teams, the best of which was UCF with a defense ranked 41st in the country...and Bridgewater lost that game though with decent stats. I just don't like the attention this kid is getting at the expense of some other guys who I think are more deserving. I'm also suspicious because, as a Packers fan, I remember the last hot QB to come out of Louisville...what's Brian Brohm doing now? A whole lot of nothing.
