WR JUCO Eric Lauderdale [Arizona State - Signed LOI]

I still have 4 years of eligibility left. ASU seems to be handing out scholarships left and right. Time to get my HS film dusted off and send it in.

Eric Lauderale @e_lauderdale 43m

After my Oregon visit I'm committing.

To clarify, Lauderale meant that he will be choosing which school he wants to commit to after his Oregon visit, not that he will be committing to Oregon necessarily.

Does the commitment of Tolbert, a WR, shows the fans any cards on if we get this kid. This was who I was hoping for but the reviews by quite a few folks seem to be Tolbert is a stud. So, my opinion was Tolbert wasn't as good of a prospect as this kid. Input or info?

Tolbert is all based on Potential. Lauderdale is a help right away kind of guy. Too early to tell if Tolbert will turn out to be a stud, he very well could. Another kid, like Moss that hasn't been playing football very much, and hasn't been in the weight room hardly ever. Could be yet another excellent find by our staff, while everyone else was watching the studs that developed early, our staff is sometimes forced to look at what a kid can turn into. Not everyone develops in HS. The LSUs of the world can take the early developers because they have to win right away. We have to project and develop a good portion of our roster, which means taking a bit if a gamble. Our staff has a pretty good track record with WR talent.

Tweeted that he will not be taking his visit to Oregon and will be committing Saturday. We all already assumed it but I would be highly surprised if he didn't go ASU.
