Recruiting is crazy this time of year:

“I’m telling you, Nebraska kind of just lucked out here, man,” Geis said. “Florida State called and Nebraska was 10 minutes behind walking in the door. I let them know he just decommitted and they said ‘Is that the kid we really liked? Can we talk to him?’ Four days later, we’ve got this.”

“No, nah, he’s an intelligent kid,” Geis said. “I’ve had kids in the past where I’ve flat out told the coaches ‘Look he’s going to commit and then I’ll have to talk him out of it as soon as he gets back here.’ There have been kids that commit at every place they take a visit too, but he’s a very intelligent kid and knows what he wants. He just wants to go to a place that plays good football.”
