A&M's whiney fans - SHOCKER

Back off. It was a tough loss for us. It would have been the same here if the situation was reversed. Get up off your high horse. This is tough for us.

yeah i mean we are probally worse when we lose a tough game i can remember what it was like after the OSU, UT and USC game :restore

That catch was amazing but it was not the difference between 8-3 and 7-4. If he would of dropped it. We would have second down and three more tries to score with 20 seconds left. Even offensive PI would not mean that they would of stopped us from scoring on the next play.

Ag, sorry for some on here. Someone pointed out that it would be the same for us if NU had been on the other end.

aTm has a bright future with McGee. He's pretty darn salty. Also, aTm badly outplayed NU for all but 2 minutes of the second half.

Tough loss for aTm, great win for NU. Signature win for Callahan.

Stay with 'em, bud. aTm is on the rise, as is NU (finally I believe it!).

and I'm sure this conversation would have been happening on the A&m boards...........

Yeah, when I said it I meant it could have been. We still would have had more tries, but I'm happy we didn't have to find out what would've happened.

first of all, allow me to declare my allegiances to Texas A&M.

now that that's out of the way....

i've always been a fan of nebraska football. while it doesn't hold a candle to my Aggie interests, i'd consider myself somewhat of a fan. i respect the hell out of your football tradition, and i've never had a bad word to say about your fans.

now concerning the game, this loss was by far the worst of the 3 close games. i'd liken it to a nut kick, followed by a sucker punch, followed by another nut kick. that's probably why you're hearing the gripes that you are. now from what I saw on my television, the roughing the passer call was warranted. he roughed him, and it wasn't even close. the fact that it came on 4 and 10 from the 20 makes it that much worse.

regarding the touchdown, I think it was a clear push off. after watching and rewatching thanks to TiVo, i don't see how you can dispute that he pushed Peterson to the ground. that being said, it happens on every single play like that. there is no way i would expect the ref to make a call on that with 20+ seconds left in the game. unfortunately, it cost us the game. but all in all the receiver made a good play on the ball, even if there was more than a little contact before the pass.

there's my two cents. it was a game of high emotion, and i'm still not over it. however, regardless what happens the rest of the way, do me a favor and beat the hell outta either OU or texas.

If mo pushed him down how did he get up so quick? I'll be honest , I didn't notice anything, I was really paying attnetion to the ball, but i have seen many many pics that have peterson with his hands on MO as the ball is just getting there. did he push him down that early? and how hard did It look like he pushed? could it have been a push/slip combo?

well, it was offensive PI so much as it was probably a hold or illegal contact. it looked like he gave him the shove prior to the ball even being thrown. there was probably a fair amount of slipping as well, which is why i don't expect the ref to make a call there.

There's gotta be a video out there that has the right angle.

However, Like I said before I've watched the damn thing a bunch of times too. Maurice runs the guy into the end zone and then sets up for the throw. If you ask me, Peterson was probably thinking back pylon throw when it wasn't. The previous throw was to the back pylon.

Just because a receiver extends his arms doesn't mean it was pushing off. It's not like Peterson jammed him at the line then was step for step with him the whole time.

Either way it's not like it matters. Missouri fans still chant "You can't kick the ball." Even though you can if it didn't look like you meant to.

If you look at those two pictures how is that guy being pushed to the ground and still have his arms around Mo's torso? I don't have the luxury of Tivo or DVR so I just have to take your word for it. If it was that blatant I would hope the ref in the box would see the replay and call a review prior to the next snap. IMO

Granted the reviewing officials still need to hone their skills at times (alamo bowl) :) I think that tool will come in handy at more and more games and when win/losing is on the line.

I just finished watching the game again(I love dvr, I watched it in an hour), and I still don't think he pushed off, and I don't think Peterson pass intereferenced our guy either. Just my 2 cents
