Yea, because Norvell told Taylor to wait to long to throw that post to Nunn in the second quarter which would have given us a 3 touch down lead. I am sure Norvell and Callahan had nothing to do with that call which was WIDE OPEN. If you ask me, that was seriously a huge turning point in that game. That touchdown could have changed the outcome dramatically. What it states is dont blame the players its the coaches fault for putting continuing to put the same players in the same positions where they cannot succeed
Seriously, the coverage on that play was there offensively. The DB was playing him to the outside. Nunn made the break and had 5 yards on the corner at that point. How does Taylor, seeing the coverage and knowing the route not throw that sucker right when Nunn made the break? How? By saying it's coaching, you are telling me that Taylor was told to wait for the corner to catch up before throwing it too short? Please explain how this is coaching. I really want to know.
Watson told JB Phillips to false start at our own 15, putting us in a 1st and long in our own end of the field. Where we played pretty much the whole second half.
If you go back and even just look at the drive chart for the 2nd half, you can see what happened. 3rd down conversion went into the toilet, we lost the field position battle in the second half horribly. Before the last drive on 8 third downs, we failed to convert 4 of them.Either by coming up short on a run, a bad pass by Taylor or a drop by a receiver. That's 50 percent. Add the INT by Taylor and taking 2 or 3 unnecessary sacks and, well, you get what you got. But I am sure that was coaching too. :thumbs
