So this conversation actually happened...

I know I'm reaching, but is there ANY way that there is something lost in the translation/slang and this woman actually worked for one of those overseas leagues for washed-up, rehabbing, fallen on hard times, former NBA players?
this makes sense.
Maybe if I was calling the Breakers' head office (the professional team that Tai Webster's brother plays for) but there isn't any chance this lady has any connections to anything.

How it should have ended:

Julie: I notice an accent. Where are you from?

I'm a f&$kin' American. You're the one with the funny accent ya damn kiwi.

USA!

USA!

USA!

*hang up phone*
In no way do I actually condone this sort of xenophobic jingoism.

So then, you're not one of the numerous 6' tall white guys who played in the NBA?

/ Or 6' tall of any race.

I would have told her the following:

"What? You mean to tell me you've never heard of me before lady? I was the white Larry Bird for goodness sakes! I shall now pass on your busch league organization! GOOD DAY!"

Works every time.
