If anyone has taken a look at any of the CO's message boards, they are doing nothing but ragging on the Huskers. Most of them think that the game is in CO's hands and that they should win if their offense shows up. They keep mentioning the 62-36 game from eons ago, despite the fact that we beat them by a larger margin (27pts vs. 26pts) AT HOME last year. A Husker fan posted this on their board, which I thought was right on the money-

"The rivalry between Nebraska and Colorado is like the rivalry between the hammer and the nail. NU is 45-17 all time against Colorado and if you try to say CU is starting to make it a rivalry, in the last 10 games, NU is up 7-3. But if you buffaloes want to call a lifetime of beatings a rivalry, go right ahead."

Here's to hoping we crush the Buffs in a most humiliating fashion possible. I hope Callahan really grinds a boot in their face. A blowout win would be great to quiet all those Buff fans yammering about a new era of dominance in Boulder. Guys, you only have 2 wins and you lost to Div 1AA Montana St.- Nebraska just clinched the Big 12 North, beat its second ranked team of the season, and only lost to Texas on a last second field goal after a miracle fumble. Let's destroy the Buffs, not just win. That would be immensely satisfying.

 
I see a huge blowout next week. I'm excited.

We're much better than last year and we can destroy CU even worse now than we did then.

 
Bah, everybody does it.

Obviously, it's just wishful thinking. They have every right to be excited; it's rivalry week and they just came off a win (over Iowa State, but still). However, they seem to be forgetting that they have one of the NCAA's worst offenses AND defenses and that Nebraska beat the crud out of them on their turf last year when they had a much better team.

And this year it's at our home.

 
I've been reading and posting on AllBuffs today. It's a chore just to try and start a conversation about football when they're specialty is sh#t-talking.

 
A win would make their season. NU's toughest job is just to take them seriously. We get nothing out of beating them except the satisfaction of grinding them into the buffalo doo.

Wow... I just read that "forum" of theirs for the last half hour... I feel really really bad for them. Not only does their team suck, but their fans suck, their forum sucks, and their greasy granny's got holes in her panties.... Byaaaah!!
