We're not a million miles ahead in facilities like we were in the 90s and before.
Absolute lie

Seriously? The jet sweep? How many of our current players were on the defense for that CCG against Wiscy?after every loss this board melts down because we expect to win every game. There are seriously those on here who don't seem to understand what mega-conferences, tv deals and revenue sharing have done........
but after the season, it is all of a sudden, "eh... only 4 losses isn't so bad now that we have to share revenue with minny and nw."?
i fail to see how "mega-conferences" (not sure we have really even seen those), tv deals, and revenue sharing have done to nebraska's ability to defend the jet sweep and avoid turnovers.
i was making a larger point.Seriously? The jet sweep? How many of our current players were on the defense for that CCG against Wiscy?
What of it? We've choked in big moments under Pelini is the only thing that is being argued. Have we not? Did we not lose by 30+ to a 5 loss Wisconsin team in the Big Ten Championship? Did we not lose by 28 to Michigan, 25 to Ohio State, and 31 to Wisconsin? Have we not lost at home to Northwestern and Iowa?Agreed.....but "choking in big moments" is not limited to Pelini coached teams in Husker history. TV and revenue effected facilities and recruiting.
Partial lie. While I think Nebraska is still one of the top facility wise institutions in the country, I think that gap has narrowed quite a bit from the 90s.We're not a million miles ahead in facilities like we were in the 90s and before.
Absolute lie
What are Bo's signature wins? Don't we have a losing record against top 25 opponents? No, just listing his best wins - thus "signature". I believe the lack of wins was his point. It seemed he was dismissing Franklin as a top three coach in the conference by saying his "signature wins" weren't all that big a deal, and I happened to see one from 2013 that caught my eye.
Drama queen much? This is a dumb argument. Should a national champion Nebraska be a toe kick better than Mizzou? Now HERE is where I will speculate: Now given the program prestige, academic entrance requirements, history, fan bases, and resources of the two programs, should Nebraska be a finger tip better than Northwestern? So who's done the better coaching job? Fitzgerald or Pelini?People are pointing out that we are better than them. Not pretending that we are heads and shoulders better, but realizing that we are, in fact, better. You just asked everyone if they thought we would win the same amount of games if we played their schedule. You are inviting speculation as to whether or not we are any better than they are. Asking a question without a real answer is the definition of speculation.Where's my speculation? I'm looking at schedules, common opponents, and the head to head matchup. People seem to be pretending that we are heads and shoulders better than Northwestern here, but the data doesn't support that.
Oh my f u cking God.
Seriously?
No.http://cfn.scout.com/2/1389519.htmlDo the two schools you referenced beat teams that are equal or above their "sphere"? At least a third of the time? Answer that and get back to me.
Tell me, who--and I'm talking top level major conference teams--do you think plays a schedule that has less than 4 automatic winsAnother question: Do you think Pelini has been able to lead Nebraska to #9wins every year because of Nebraska's facilities, recognition, fan base, et cetera?
Of late, it has been from his schedule and the benefit of no less than 4 automatic wins.
Wrong. Nebraska in the 90's had THE premiere facilities in the country. Now, there's EASILY close to 15+ schools on the same tier or above, and many not far behind. We're not a million miles ahead in facilities like we were in the 90s and before.
Absolute lie
Of course not. Nebraska has easy wins, but MSU, UW, or whatever other team you wanna throw out there doesn't.Tell me, who--and I'm talking top level major conference teams--do you think plays a schedule that has less than 4 automatic winsAnother question: Do you think Pelini has been able to lead Nebraska to #9wins every year because of Nebraska's facilities, recognition, fan base, et cetera?

For some reason that question never gets answered.
