In search of: Pretzel Stick and Beer Cheese Dip

So Im obsessed with Applebees appetizer Pretzel sticks and beer cheese dip. Granite Fity also has a fantasticversion using one of their microbrews. Id love to learn how to make my own dip using one of my favorite beers as Im sure the dip is rather simple to make. The pretzel part is where I have no clue where to begin.
