The Tim Miles rumor thread

Excel

All-American
My status seems to have touched a nerve and it's easier to discuss the stuff in a thread than in a status update.

The evidence:

1. CBS's Tim Brando suggested Miles for the Tennessee job.

2. About an hour ago Kevin Kietzman, host of 810 WHB's Between the Lines (a KC ESPN affiliate) mentioned Miles as a replacement for Frank Haith at Missouri who is reportedly in talks to move to Tulsa.

Discuss and refute away.

A couple notes:

- I never said he was leaving

- I simply said his name is out there which is true.

Ok go.

No idea who the next Tennessee coach will be - but I know who it won't be: Tim Miles. UT officials have been told Miles isnt leaving Lincoln

Not worried just thought i would post it.

@RobinWashut: Here we go again... RT @GoodmanESPN: Missouri may also make a run at Nebraska's Tim Miles, source told ESPN.

Tennessee is too unstable and quite honestly a sh#t program right now. Mizzou is a little bit more stable but as of now Nebraska has a lot more to offer him. I wouldn't be too worried right now at all.

They're coming off of a sweet sixteen season, I don't think they're a bad program.

Absolutely This ^^^^^

(nothing to see here.......move along.......)

I would be shocked to see Miles leave now. Maybe 3 or 4 years from now, and even then I'm not sure. Nebraska may actually be becoming a destination job for basketball, especially for a man who grew up relatively nearby.

Not really a sh#t program. Great facilities, above average b-ball tradition, great recruiting spot, and coming off a nice tourney run. They just have a sh**ty athletic administration

I think Timmy is here to stay. I actually think he wants to build a winner here, and when he does I get the feeling he wants to sustain it. I think Nebraska will see that when he does, basketball will and can be a perennial winner. I think the university will pay him well to stay when that time comes as well.

When asked about these rumors and how the fans might respond, Tim Miles said: "They can all kiss my a$$ out the f'ing door." (source unverified)
