Its fascinating because he was a celebrity and all but I wonder if it didnt have the bad luck before he aquired it.

the only way to know that is finding the vin number and do some research. But I wouldn't doubt that James was the first owner of it.

You would have to assume he would buy a brand new car. However if pieces of it were linked to accidents after it was parted out, whose to say that couldnt have happened before?

Redux what's your opinion on Ghost Adventures? The early investigations were great but now it's so staged its terrible. Do you think those guys were legit or was it all rigged?

in a way the Ghost Adventures guys are the bad type of investigators. They go in trying to proove this is real, instead of really trying to help the clients. Seeing has how we only see a hour of their entire stay there I could be wrong. Where as the Ghost hunters on syfy they try and help the clients first by debunking everything. Or at least they use to before Syfy pressured them into suposedly faking evidence to draw in viewers.

The investigators go into those shows to educate people about these types of events. The channel goes into it for viewers and money. Eventually they get pressured into more drama and evidence to generate the viewers. Thats why when you watch them over time it's like their mentality switches and more evidence is found. These shows are great for 1 thing and that is entertainment. Is there truth to the evidence they find yes. I've had similar experiences they did in the Villisca Axe Murder house. But do you find evidence at every location you go and research. Absolutely not anyone that says otherwise doesn't know what they are talking about.

For me, all the TV shows have to be taken with the caution: Ratings keep shows on the air.

IF they portrayed Ghost Hunting in a realistic way, nobody would watch. The dirty secret of ghost hunting is that it can be incredibly boring. Most the time nothing is happening. They really spice the shows up. The GA crews intentions are probably good but so many times they make things out to be evil for no reason whatsoever.

LiKe at Villisca, they spent a majority of the episode looking for the murderers ghost. Hes not there, but they would tell you differently. Another thing is they try to piss the spirits off. Thats a huge no no in most cases. If a resident is already scared your job is to help them, not make it worse then leave

Exactly. I bet thats why you see the GA crew do more investigations in abandoned places with the occasional business. They rarely investigate homes any more.

Here are a couple of highlights from our Villisca trip, the other video I posted is quite long. These sum up the activity we encountered really well.

First is a video of myself and two female investigators in the cellar of the house. The KII meter gauges electromagnetic fluctuations that can be caused by something trying to interact. We are able to get some interaction out of it.

Anyone hear of the Chinese graveyard outside of Kearney? I don't know why it's called that because the headstones that are left are German and Swedish. It has a bad history that goes back a lot of years. My mother went to school there and knew of it when I told her I had gone there. She was less than pleased.

I have seen a spirit along with a car load of buddies who saw it too.

One of the stories was when my buddies were in high school they went out there on a goof to party and dare each other. One of the guys kicked over a couple of headstones and when he left the party he was in an accident and paralyzed from the waist down.

He stated that a "glowing" little girl ran in front of his car. He swerved and crashed into a tree and was paralyzed.

My story: Me and 3 buddies went there when I was in college. My 3 friends were all from Kearney and they had heard a lot of bad stories. Anyway one of the guys was a "Big" dude his name is Roy. We were standing beside an old well by the graveyard Roy slipped on the edge and slid to his waist on the edge and hung on. He was screaming for us to pull him out, so we grabbed his arm and began to pull. We got him about half way out and then "boom" he got pulled back down forceably.

When we finally got him out his sock and shoe were gone and there were long bloody nail scrapes down his calf.

After that we all hauled a@@ back to the car that was parked on the dirt road. After getting scraped and hung up on the barbed wire we piled in the car. As we pulled away. I looked back in the yard and saw a little girl standing behind a pine tree motioning for us to come back. She had a greenish blue hue and her hair looked like it was in the wind. I pointed and said look and my buddies all saw her too. We booked and never went back.

We weren't doing shrooms or any other hallucenogenics. We did begin to drink heavily later that night though. That was my freshman year at KSU in 80.

So ya, I'm kind of a believer.

My wife surprised me with a anniversary trip last weekend to Kansas City. We stayed at The Elms hotel in Excelsior Springs, my wife isn't a very good researcher when it comes to stuff. Just seen the pictures of the hotel and booked it. The hotel was nice, we stayed in the Roosevelt Room, presidential suite.

Needless to say we found out that the hotel was haunted once we arrived to our room: http://www.ghosthaunters.com/index.php?pr=The_Elms_Resort

Yes, we both had experiences and the night wasn't as "romantic" as I had hoped. Instead my wife clung to me like a 4-year-old all night!

So I'm guessing there wasn't a 3-way with a ghost?

My wife seen some orbs in the middle of the night in the bedroom and it was REALLY dark in the hotel room. There were like double the curtains in this suite compared to others. I know I seen an apparition in a white dress. I was laying on the couch in the living room area watching TV, I was lying with my feet facing the bedroom door and down the hallway. I looked up to see this apparition turn quickly and move left to right towards the bathroom area of the bedroom, where my wife was taking a bath. I seen the back of the shoulders down the dress and the dress kinda flowed behind her. Our room attendant said she had seen this same apparition several times in that room or area. I didn't tell my wife until we left the hotel the next morning. Lots of noises during the middle of the night around us and there was no one staying in the rooms around us. The nearest folks that stayed around us were down the hallway, turn right down another small hallway, and their room was at the end of the hallway. You can't even get to the 5th floor of this hotel without having an access card. The kid that dropped off breakfast to us in the morning really didn't want to come into the room either, seemed really nervous. I'm like, "Dude, it was a long night, set the eggs and bacon on the coffee table and get going!"
