Martinez TD's on you tube

Watching him run past, and then be chased by 6 defenders at 2:21 makes me laugh every time.

Watching Martinez stuff now gives me a lot of "what could have been" feelings (especially about 2010) so I try to avoid it.
No doubt. I think (hope) will mellow peoples opinions about Martinez and he will be remembered for what he accomplished instead of what he did not.

JLo, is still one of my fave Huskers. I think if folks looked back on what he did, with what he had, it was pretty impressive.

That run against Wisconsin in the Big 10 championship will forever go down as one of the most ridiculous runs I have ever seen. Man what could have been if he stayed healthy, those games his freshman year against KSU and Washington I really thought we could win it all

Such a huge part of our team for the years he played. Did far more good than bad, and on occasion was the sole reason we won many of our games, Michigan State in 2012 comes to mind.

Those 3 interceptions were huge. Without those we wouldn't have won.
The 2012 Michigan State was a microcosm of Taylor Martinez's career here. He helped put us in a hole with 3 ints, but then pulled us out with spectacular play.

I was referring to NUance saying Taylor might have the best running highlights of any QB ever.

Show me a Michael Vick highlight better than this broken play scramble.

You said more great running highlights, implying quantity. Unless you meant 'the best singular running highlight'?

Against what would eventually become several top tier cornerbacks taken in the early rounds of the NFL draft? Yeah, they were huge. But his long runs were the reason we won the game.

It's off season. Saw this video of every TD by Martinez. I tend to remember the "injured" Martinez instead of the healthy Martinez. After watching the videos, when healthy, that kid was an animal. Didn't realize he lowered his shoulder as much or could actually make cuts. And fast, real fast.

After Mizzou, I do not think he was ever close to being 100%. Healthy, could have done so much more..........

Thanks for the highlights, great stuff! Looks like a HS recruit video that shows his good stuff. And people go crazy over it. He had blazing speed for sure. It is a bit of an exaggeration to say he was an animal. For the most part he shied away from contact and collision outside the goal line. He made some nice cuts here and there. His acceleration and speed is among college football's best. I think it was the best.

Against Texas his freshmen year, I sensed he had no arm or IQ and the best he could do is run if it was allowed by a defense.

I was just lowering the bar for you. Since I don't think Michael Vick has a highlight reel that can match the one in the OP.

btw, I lived in Virginia when Vick was at Va Tech. I was a fan of Vick. Still am, in fact.
