The losses to Minnesota, Michigan St, and Iowa were still in doubt well into the fourth quarter. Games that still had the possibility of being swayed on a play or two. This is present day football. The "blowout" term gets thrown around quite a bit, when in all actuality if you actually watch and analyze the game, it can be determined that 21 point loss isnt merely a blowout at all. It's not like we were totally outclassed in the talent field of those games. So yeah, I'll agree that even last year, we were pretty close to picking up 3 more wins. At least, a lot closer than the final scores would lead you to believe.
