Best statistic from yesterday

We had 211 yards on our first 2 drives scoring touchdowns on each drive because of penalties, I would like to know the last time any football had back to back total yardage touchdown drives with over 100 yards gained on each. That was awesome.

Showing how important this is. Grndel and davison broke down last season and giving our oppenents the short field. The broke it down using how many points were scored off drives starting in our territory. It equated to over 9 points a game scored on us last year came from possessions starting in our territory. Its a huge stat. And to start the year off with no turnovers fir the first time in nearly 3 full seasons is a giant step forward.

I believe it was either on USC or the show prior on Friday where they had the round table that they said NU under Bo is 30-3 when they are even or better in TOs, now 31-3. Let that one sink in.

So we're officially in love with pimpled balls?
I hope they work, but we still muffed a punt and FAU dropped some INTS.
The punt would be us receiving their ball kicked to us, so I doubt it was the same kind as ours, and was probably a beat up punters ball that is more soccer ball than football.
True, I guess in the context of turnovers,we were dangerously close to having 3 or 4. That needs be cleaned up. And I don't recall, did we cause any turnovers by FAU?

It is amazing how many games NU was won under Bo with a negative TO margin. I am very pleased with no TOs, but a big part of the TO margin issue is the lack of TOs caused by the D. We need improvement there.

There were three passes that could have been picked off by Nebraska defenders and I believe there was a fumble we could have fallen on but instead lost it as we tried to pick it up and run.

Woulda, shoulda, coulda's don't mean anything in this game.

Yeah, that's an odd stat alright. Probably never happened to us before. It ranks right up there with the drive of the Armstrong/Enunwa pass against Georgia. A 95-yard drive culminating in a 99-yard catch.

It goes both ways as the posts above point out. Neither team capitalized on their chances despite having good chances. IIRC, NU had the best 2 chances, the fumble that Cockrell had in his hands and the INT that Bando had in his gullet. The chances that I remember from FAU were not super easy plays, but could have been made.
