I hate the B1G this week.

While we are at it, OSU would like to play in the 2012 NC game vs ND. I am sure USC fans are really happy about this.

 
The timing of this is ... well.... interesting.

But let's reel it in a bit.

Penn State should have never been banned from postseason play in the first place. Their scholarships should have never been reduced in the first place. Yes, fire everybody associated with the football program and athletic administration. Yes, fire the university leadership. Yes, heavy fines to the university.

Those things were all done.

But, near as I could tell, none of the players on the football team were ever accused of doing anything.

I even get the vacating of wins because that puts a tarnish on Joe Pa. and he deserves a tarnish.

But the players didn't do anything.

And so it's back to business as usual.

I am Ok with it.

I feel for you on this. I really do. It's straight up frickin bullsh#t. Pure double standard BS. Bring in an SEC and the rules start changin for their sake.

The school is bigger than the players and the SCHOOL let this happen. The players were ALLOWED to transfer without penalty and the ones coming into the program knew what they were getting into. So please don't give a sob story about the players.

I am sure Bruce Pearl loved hearing about this. He got 2 years for having Craft come to his house for a BBQ.

 
You can't do this two weeks into the season. NCAA just trying to protect the image of the Big Ten.

 
It's not just those involved. You have to force the school to take this seriously as their own responsibility by inflicting pretty heavy punishment for failing to find out and solve it. How proactive will universities be in cases as serious as this if all they have to do is fire a couple guys, replace them with some new guys, and carry on?

How would this protect the B1G's image? PSU has already been tarnished and this just adds fuel to the fire.

 
Be disgusted at the poor response and punishment in the first place, not the rescinding of misguided punishment that affects people uninvolved more than anyone else.

They don't want to see the Big Ten fall very short of filling their bowl game tie ins.

The conference looks like trash in football and this doesn't help.
