Wasn't sure which forum to post this in, but I thought I'd share my story with you all. I'm a sports reporter/producer at a local tv station, and was at the Illinois game filming highlights. On the touchdown where Ameer dove towards the pylon, Kenny was engaged in a block in the back of the endzone. He and the Illinois defender ended up heading to the sideline, and I ended up getting blindsided. I woke up to Kenny standing over me asking if I was okay. He tried to help me up, but the medics yelled at him to not touch me. I got carted off in a stretcher and taken to the ER. Ended up with a concussion, sprained ankle, some gnarly cuts, whiplash, and one hell of a story.

Kenny apologized to me later on Twitter.

I remember you from when I was on the sideline of the Northwestern game last year. We talked for a second or two and you seemed like an enjoyable guy.

I also remember seeing something on twitter that someone on the sidelines got hurt and was carted off on a stretcher. Crazy story man - glad to hear you're alright afterwards.

 
Glad to see you on your feet in that t-shirt pic. That was a hell of a hit. I remember seeing those two (Kenny & his blocking victim) going off the field and seeing a tangle of people after. Crazy that was you.

There's an injured camera guy on the sidelines in the Northwest corner being attended to right now.

Wow. That really had to be a vicious hit to crack the shatter the lens like that oh my goodness.

I was in a music video a month back and accidentally punched my buddy's FS700 as hard as I possibly could straight into the lense and it did nothing. Jokes about my strength aside, you must be tough as hell.

Hahaha, well technically, it WAS because I was watching Ameer.
