Thanks for replying...I've always wanted to get up to the upper peninsula, either of you two ever been up that way? POssible looking for a vacation home a few years from now.

I have never been that far north , but have heard really nice things about it. Lots of wildlife and peaceful. And you could go hunting with Ted Nuggent!

My family has had a cabin on an island in the middle of a lake up near Minocqua, WI (sp?) for my entire life. I was just up there this last summer and when I was younger went up approx. every summer for a couple weeks. Very nice up in that area. Let me know what questions you have.

i've never been to the UP. if i were in the market for a michigan vacation home, i would look around traverse city. it is "up north," as they say, and traverse city has an airport with regular flights, and the city is big enough to get what you need. but maybe you are looking for something on the other side of lake michigan...Thanks for replying...I've always wanted to get up to the upper peninsula, either of you two ever been up that way?
