In all seriousness (my above comment as smartassery) if for some reason we do win out and win the CCG and are in legit playoff talks, Miami getting on a roll and winning would help. The OP is correct, on a pretty obvious observation.

If a team you handle early on goes on to win a conference title it looks pretty good to a playoff comittee. Still pribs a long shot.

Winning against MSU or tOSU would be the catalust to a playoff berth. But having beaten an ACC Champ or runner up would surely help pad the resume so maybe we dont get looked over.
