Who is Jay Norvell?

I know coach Norvell has been a topic as a potential head coach at some time down the road. Just wondering what some here think of him. Anyone here ever hear him speak publicly? Does he recruit well? How much of your offense was he actually responsible for?

I appreciate anything you can share about him.

:sarcasm Is this how n texas finds coaches, well to answer your question, he sucks, you don't want him anywhere near your offense. Did you notice the high powered school iowa st didn't want him. Leave him at Nebraska, we will save the rest of college football from his mistakes. cant recruit, cant even spell football let alone coach it. :sarcasm
 
seriously, jay novell is a good coach and his day as HC will be coming soon.

in fact, nebraska has about three co-ordinators (norvell, blake and watson) who are all looking for their big chance.

if you're asking if he has the respect of nebraska fans, by and large yes.

 
Jay Norvell can slam revolving doors. And here is a little rhyme I heard.

Jack be nimble, Jack be quick, but Jack couldn't dodge Jay Norvell's roundhouse kick.

Footballscoop.com stated that Norvell had a very good interview for North Texas head coaching job.

Here is what was said: "North Texas: Jay Norvell interviewed well and has moved up on the candidate list. Todd Dodge is a name we are still hearing though!"
