alright, i will beat the dead horse, but Mark May is still one of the biggest idiots as an analyst. he thinks there is 4 foot of snow here in nebraska and nothing to do but fire up our ol dial up and vote for the Huskers in the college football playoff. enough said. oh wait, mark may is an idiot.

And could Tony Dorsett provide any less input or insight.

Barry has given Nebraska many props.

He's almost making up for breaking my heart so many times in the 70's.

One of my best memories in sports as a young man (probably not that good of memory cause I cant remember the year) was seeing Nebraska fans storm the field, and watch Barry get knocked down in the melee. It was a rainy/snowy day, and I think it was the year that their coke dealer quarterback (name? Thompson?) broke his leg in the game.

Mark May may say some idiotic things while on the air but at least we can understand what he is saying. I think we should tell Lou Holtz that we would like the news and not the weather. AKA....quit spitting everywhere.

Alright, at the risk of killing brain cells i watched the replay show- with the advantage of knowing how it turns out.

a couple things about their view of '95 team that kinda got on my nerves

1- a "rushing game led by Lawrence Phillips". actually he was 3rd on the team in rushing. and about 500 yards behind #2 Ahman Green and only about 100 yards ahead of #4 Clinton Childs.

i guess is stands to reason. ESPN circa '95 ignored Team Nebraska and focused on LP, so it only fits that they still look at that team and only see a guy that hardly played that season.

2- Herb claims they didn't play anyone and no one disputed it! I guess in retrospect, thrashing 4 top 10 (actually top 9) teams = crap. yet barely beating VTech and Boston College in 2001 is absolute greatness. i don't get that but apparently to some it makes perfect sense.

I hate, hate, Loser Holtz. but i still appreciated his angered/mocking reply to herb's comments that '95 didn't have a passing game. Holtz simply stated the obvious, that they **did not have to pass the ball**. it seems so simple, yet Herb was oblivious to something that even Holtz could figure out. that's quite sad, really.

I also appreciated Herb's whining about the '71 team only being in there b/c of Husker fans voting. basically that they sucked and didn't belong anywhere near there. then we switch to the other panel, where Corso, Holtz, and Switzer all pick '71 Huskers to win the round.

It was like the middle finger being shoved in Herb's face. i loved it.

too bad he ended the show in pout mode.

And Barry's the man. really. He respects Nebraska like no other. Credited our fans as the "best", credited Osborne, loved the '95 Huskers... :thumbs

My favorite part was when Herbie almost started crying and they Corso went "GET OVER IT!" :rollin

Ya Herbstreit and May are tools..........why all the disdain towards the CORN from them.....................over 1.3 million people voted.........., the forget to leave out the punishing rush ends that worught fear on any oppsing backfield, the best I have seen since................but I digress, it was so obvious there HUSKER HATERNESS by those two tools........makes me sick and it bleeds over into there commentary even though May has gotten better since. Just had to vent.

I didn't see this show, but I heard Barry Switzer on Unsportmanlike Conduct a couple weeks ago before the Oklahoma NU game.

He really does respect NU and give us a lot of dap.
