Bo has a new job

this is not comparing bo to banker but I don't think those banker stats have looked to good the last 2 yrs. just sayin

I am just wondering why those of you would response to Bo may or may not of been offered the job? Many here on the board were very glad he was fired. Again, another chance for some to get in a last boot comment. I would start worrying about what this new HC can do in the future.
How about we do a little comparison of the two coaches?

I'm shamelessly stealing this post from another board.

2012:

Sooooooooooo Banker did better in 5 of 8 games with 63 less 4* recruits.

That's pretty much what everybody that knows this coaching staff says: "Does more with less."

We did nit have that many 4* recruits. Which recruiting site are you following?

I can see Bo hanging out in Youngstown for a couple years since he's getting about 7 mill anyway and it's his and Mary Pat's hometown.......I can also see the kids wanting to finish school in Lincoln , so whatever.

My wife says her and her girlfriends will still yell and make a fuss over Bo if they see him at Mickey D's......(prompting him to get it to go and get the heck out of there.)

I don't think it's saying we had that # of recruits each year. It's saying that's the total # of 4 star or higher on the defense.

That being said, it still seems too high for 1 side of the ball. Take the first year with 18 4 stars on Nebraska's D. I don't think we get 18 4* defensive players every 4 years. Maybe those numbers are for the total team. I can see us having 9 defensive 4 star recruits on our roster. That's 2.25 4 star defensive recruits per year on D and 2.25 per year on O. Does that sound better?

Or maybe the numbers are just made up.

Kind of weird that Osborne and now Tressel seem to think the Bo is a pretty good coach. But what do they know they have only won 4 national championships in FBS.
The sad thing is that 3 people actually thought this was worth giving a +1 to.

I personally think that Bo is one hell of a good coach. What he has problems with is management of personalities and the psychology part of the head coaching job.

Bo's new job should be assistant coach in the NFL. He wouldn't have to deal with boosters and play the college politics stuff that college coaches have to do. He can just dive into his job dealing with the players. He would have a boss over him keeping a foot on his hot head.

Now, if he can do that and learn from someone else how to handle the emotions and psychology part of the job, I think he could move up and be very successful as a coordinator or HC again.

I shamelessly stole that from another board and I honestly didn't notice the high number of 4* we were given credit for, that part is most likely bogus. The guy who originally posted this stuff isn't known for exaggerating the facts so it was most likely a typo of some sort on his part

These should be either Riley vs Bo Pelini stats or Banker vs Carl and this years d coordinator right. Bo isn't the DC.
