we must have been in different neighborhoods. i thought most places off the strip were crap holes.Interesting ......good luck to both of them. I worked with a guy who had great things to say about Vegas.....the casinos and the town are two different places and it's a very nice city to live in.
He installed clay tile at night on fancy houses......said the U and social life was separate from the strip ........that's all I got. The few times I've been there it looked fine to me ,nicer than my Lincoln neighborhood.we must have been in different neighborhoods. i thought most places off the strip were crap holes.Interesting ......good luck to both of them. There are some really crap neighborhoods in Las Vegas also.He installed clay tile at night on fancy houses......said the U and social life was separate from the strip ........that's all I got. Oh yes they will. Gorman players aren't going to stay in Vegas if they are any good. This is where coaches come to die. They will have no problem recruiting Bishop Gorman players to UNLV
Best of luck to them
This is true of any city in the USA. We have one part of LV that is a craphole, the rest are all pretty good. There are some really crap neighborhoods in Las Vegas also.He installed clay tile at night on fancy houses......said the U and social life was separate from the strip ........that's all I got. Basically the old downtown Vegas area is crappy, but getting better with the cleanup of the old housing and the trash(read bums and beggars). North of that is basically the slums out to about Craig road(about 4 miles), it's call North Las Vegas. This whole area is like older houses owned by some nice people and then brought down by gang members and illegals. The new North Las Vegas is all new housing and a lot nicer. Eastern Vegas has a few crappy areas, but once you hit Henderson area and SouthWest Vegas, all nice houses and nice neighborhoods.I have relatives that live there and they love it. I've never been to their house but they claim they live in a very nice neighborhood and the city is very very different than the tourist area around the strip.
Worst.....Iowa State has to be a close 2ndWow. UNLV is the worst FBS program in the nation.
