Starting a Poll How to

Can't seem to unravel the riddle of how to post a poll. Anybody? I select the "Manage Topic Poll", put everything in for the poll, hit finish and nothing happens. WTH??

Stupid question, but you finish putting the poll stuff in, and then you post the topic, right?
