OWHYou talked about getting more mature. Who helped you with that and how did you develop that maturity?
A lot of it was just the older guys on the team helping me out. They knew how it was as a young kid in the program. You think you know all the answers but you don’t. Coach Bo was a great mentor for me. He was always trying to lead me down the right path, whether I wanted to listen to him or not he was always in my ear trying to make me into a better man.

It happened for me my redshirt sophomore year going into fall camp. I had a good camp and they let me know I was going to start the season. It just clicked right then and there that all the hard work I put it, they told me it was going to pay out, and it paid out for me.

Definitely. The way the system was set up was for that d-line to hunt. When the d-line is hunting, it makes it a lot easier to cover guys and the ball’s going to come out quicker. So being a corner, you’re going to make a lot of plays.
