4. Nebraska

Some natural disadvantages exist, yes, but no school in the Big Ten creates unity and provokes passion among its fan base like the Huskers. This is not Tom Osborne’s Nebraska, but it’s still a top job with elite institutional support.

I suppose the pay factors into the attractiveness of each B1G job (even though its not mentioned in the article). Penn State helps themself out by paying their HC $4.2 million, third to Sparty's pay of $5.6 million and tOSU's $4.5 million. (Last season's numbers) LINK

The Nebraska job only pays Riley a base salary of $2.7 million. So I guess the intangibles at Nebraska must make up for pay as compared to the likes of Michigan State ($5.6M) and Iowa ($4.1M).

It can vary based on what you want to emphasize but I have a hard time arguing with their list. OSU and Mechicken are pretty locked into #1 and #2. Pretty much a coin flip between PSU and NU - PSU is in a lot better recruiting position so, in that respect, it should be easier to win there. MSU and Wiscy are definitely 5-6 and probably in that order.

How about Iowa behind Maryland? Ouch.

Seems like the Iowa job should be higher. They won't fire you if you suck.
