2015 Alternate Unis

I didn't mind the pattern we had on the shoulders last year, but I'm not a fan of that pattern becoming more pronounced and stretching down past the numbers.

I get the feeling we won't be seeing an alternate this year. Seems like we would have heard something by now doesn't it? When did they unveil those red atrocities last year?

August 1st was when the alternates were announcemed/revealed. Still got some time. I'm sure they'll do it again, I don't mind if we pass on it though.

Our alternates should be modernized throwbacks for one game every year. Pretty sure that is what Ohio St does.

I'd like to see them bring the throwbacks they used in the 300th sellout game and/or use those regularly or even use uniforms similar to what Johnny Rodgers wore.

Some comments from Michigan recruits/commits on switching to Nike. Pretty telling if you ask me.

The Scramble: The great uniform debate

— 2017 OL Kai-Leon Herbert: "That's great! I want to wear Nike at the next level. That's just a plus for Michigan in my book.”

— 2018 CB Benjamin Sapp: "I love Nike gear. It helps them in my recruitment. Adidas has some nice cleats but Nike and Michigan are powerhouses that should be together.”

— 2017 ATH Allen Stritzinger: "At this point in my recruitment, Michigan has been the higher choice for me regardless. I prefer Nike over Adidas so this just adds to that. Nike goes better with Michigan.”

— 2016 Top100 ATH/Safety Jordan Fuller: "It's a perk for sure. I wouldn't choose a school based on that alone, but it helps.”

— 2016 Top100 DE/LB Xavier Kelly: "It definitely helps. I love Nike!”

Assuming we have an alternate uniform this year, do you think it will be for the homecoming game against Southern Miss or one of the bigger conference games?

I would guess they'd want it to be a bigger game for the exposure. Wondering if it won't be Wisconsin again (two Adidas schools).
