I haven't read much into this trade, but, some of what I've been reading suggests a communication problem. I've hear Saad was asking for top dollar and then I hear he was willing to negotiate down. I wonder which it is. He's a great player and I was really hoping they'd make it work with him. It sucks but what's done is done.

Well, by him going to the Blue Jackets, you're going to see just "how good" he really is. Look at the lines he's played on. He's not gonna have Kane or Toews around so is his point production going to remain consistent, or drop off?

 
The Hawks are in an especially tough spot, but damn.... I hate to see him go. I won't question it too much, because the front office has been doing an awesome job in evaluating and procuring upcoming talent that keeps them competitive and under the cap.
