In case your wondering, Taylor sucks according to this guy

Highly paid assistants under high pressure

3. UCLA. The best move of the offseason was Bruins coach Karl Dorrell's luring Jay Norvell from Nebraska. One of the game's best teachers, Norvell was hamstrung with the Huskers by an awkward coaching lineup: He coached the quarterbacks and coordinated the offense, and coach Bill Callahan called the plays.

Norvell somehow squeezed an All-Big 12 season out of a physically limited player, quarterback Zac Taylor, amid the constraints of Callahan's eccentric play-calling. If Norvell does the same with UCLA quarterback Ben Olson, a physically gifted athlete with NFL measurables, the loaded Bruins will be competing for a Pac-10 championship -- and possibly more.

That article kind of makes Taylor look like a bad quarterback from a talent standpoint. He may not have been perfect at everything but I don't know if his physical abilities really hamstringed our offense all that much.

well the negative comments from former coaches will come out.

since Bill C. called all of the plays, shouldnt he be more responsible for Taylor being the Big 12 player of the year?

Awkward lineup? Norvell didn't seem to have a problem with that style in Oakland.. pretty sure any offensive minded head coach is going to do the exact same thing... just like a defensive minded head coach relegates the D-Coordinator to glorified teacher, scout and gameplanner. Its no secret we run a pro style system here it makes sense we use a pro style management style as well.

Either this guy is a total moron or he doesn't understand anything about football at all.

schmuck media types are sometimes the most clueless.

Taylor only beat David Humm's records and Humm was only a pro QB after college. meh

I love these so called "experts" sometimes.......................they are always good for a laugh and a shake of the head.

im sorry but no one becomes big12 player of the year just for the hell of it! To be player of the year in any confrence you have to be talented. So the person that wrote that article must not have been a athlete and whos just jealous.

screw um.

We have got zero respect from anyone. As much as it pains me, we wont get any until we prove we can win a big one.

clearly, norvell could have done a better job if he hadn't had to use billy-boy's playbook. why, if it weren't for callahan somehow *thinking* he was the head coach or something, norvell could have lead the huskers to a BCS bowl bid.

right now, callahan is probably wandering around the south end of memorial stadium in his boxers with his dockers on his head screaming, "WTH!? pants!? how do i make these things work?!? oh, god... please somebody help me!!!!"

Taylor had not talent, hmmmmm consider the source, the writer probably is about 5'2'' 220 with coke bottle glasses and a pocket protector in his shirt and hasn't had pu&&y since pu&&y had him. Just my opinion
