Colorado Coach Hawkins Tirade

Earlier on 1620 they were replaying a tirade by Coach Hawkins yesterday at their signing day press conference. He initially was calmly addressing a letter submitted to him complaining about the lack of time off his players had received by some of the parents. Then he launched into a screaming response about how this was Big 12 football and the players receive 4 weeks off through out the year which is more than a lot of people such as the writers present receive. It was pretty entertaining and shows that Hawkins is definately not right mentally.

 
His team last year should have been playing intermerels. Brother!

I havent been to Boulder in a while H.A.N.C. lets round the troops

up just hope I-80 doesnt shut down this time.

He doesn't deserve to be bashed for that. I actually really liked the tirade and admired Hawkins for going off. Yeah, his job is on the line right now. He has to win games. He has to put together a good team on the field. And these players/parents have the balls to complain about their situation. It would piss me off too!!!

He said (yelled) what every coach wants to but is probably too scared to say. This is D1 football....not pee-wee league where you have to play all the kids equal minutes. You should be privelaged that any program thinks you are good enough to put on a helmet and jersey whether it is Colorado, Nebraska, USC or Po-dunk U.

If you don't like the situatioin.....talk to the coaches, but if you find it necessary for your mommy and daddy to write/call for you, well, here is a bag to pack all your diapers in.
