Rathman

Five-Star Recruit
Did anyone read that Rathman was going to be the RB coach for the Raiders? It sounds like he didn't coach at all last year after being let go by the Lions. I hope the guy has success there. Hey if you can make it there you can make it anywhere in the NFL.

I had hoped that as well when Coach Callahan was forming his original staff. Maybe if Jordan leaves and the Raiders staff gets turned over again next year it'll be a possibility.

Kind of off the subject, but Rathman's uncle came in to my store the other day and we talked about football for probally two hours.

well, it would br damn tough to find a guy with his talent and success in an NFL west coast offense,as a running backs coach. sure you can question his coaching skills because he has never coached, but his knowledge base would be second to none. that might provide more value alone, than superior coaching ability and would obviously compliment any good coaching skills he might already possess.

Cool. What all did you talk about, if you don't mind me asking?
We talked a little bit about the current Husker team, but we started with me saying that I loved watching Tom play for the 49ers back in the day and how they became my favorite football team. Then just moved on to other players like Craig, Gill, and a few former huskers in the NFL. We talked quite a bit about the 49ers and how they have changed over the years.
