What crow? I want NU to beat Iowa. That will be great. However let's not pretend that the first 9 games didn't happen. NU will still have a 6-6 season. That's not good.

But the way they could finish this year should bring some hope for next season, especially with a majority of players returning, right? Yeah, beating MSU and potentially beating Iowa does absolutely not excuse the first 9 games of the year, but finishing with wins over a #6 and #3 teams would be impressive--especially considering the fact that its hard to get up for wins when you're 3-6.

When they start spouting off, quote this, "29-13-3". That is the series record, in our favor.

A couple of other juicy tidbits for you, in 1980 we beat them 57-0 and in 1915 the score was 52-7 in our favor. Keep bringing up all the times we've curbstomped them.

we need to get in their heads. Being relatively new to the B1G and having lost some things that we came to expect in the Big 8/12 it would be nice to have something to always rely on. If we have a down season 10-15 years from now and wonder if we can beat Iowa the answer should be yes, it's tradition. Nebraska children should grow up expecting turkey on Thursday and beating Iowa on Friday. .... there's something fundamentally wrong with Iowa making the playoffs before Nebraska.

Or Michigan.

Or Penn State.

Or Notre Dame (maybe?).

Or Oklahoma (maybe?).

Or Tennessee.

Or USC.
