We just went head-to-head with the number 3 team in the country. Three weeks ago we beat a top ten team. What the hell do you want?

While I'm not thrilled at the prospect of being invited at 5-7, saying no reeks a bit of arrogance. So you accept with a smile on your face and try to spin it to recruits as positively as you can.

Really, it's either Good Tommy or Bad Tommy. If we get Good Tommy with his head screwed on right, we can probably beat a fairly good team.

Don't think we'd have a choice being in a conference. I think recruiting at full speed is more important than preparing for a meaningless game that we don't deserve.

Sure, we can go to the Pinstripe Bowl in New York and lose to a 6 - 6 Duke or a 5 - 7 Virgina Tech.
