DE Noah Fant [Iowa - Signed LOI]

That would be quite the flip considering Nebraska and Iowa's seasons. I wonder what would have changed his mind. I wouldn't hate it if it happened!

The "Silent Commit" was Tre Bryant......it's just not silent anymore. He committed before his visit. Announced it publicly after. Not sure why people keep trying to figure out who it is.

He told reporters he committed on Thursday before his visit. The 'silent commit' was announced the Monday before his visit, meaning it isn't Tre

Because they're more informed than some.

My thing with Fant is this. It seems that he initially liked what Iowa was selling over Nebraska but its clear to me that he likes the Nebraska program and coaches more. If he isn't the silent commit, I still believe he will be a Husker. I think Nebraska will have plenty of time to make up for their woes in the beginning. As far as the recent TE offer. This staff has said that they will go after more than two TE's if needed. The TE room is made up of mostly upperclassman and getting three would be nice especially since there will be attrition. Remember Fant is going to be more of a Hybrid and will flex out.

Well , if riley and Lanfsdorf haven't proven they are serious about using the TE, they never will.
Outside of Carter our TEs are almost useless in the passing game. Carter has been getting targets lately.
Targets are the important part for recruits to see. They increased later in the year. It was clear they wanted to use them more. Cotton is a blocking TE and that's pretty much it.

Carter's catching ability greatly improved later in the year also.

Yep. Carter is the only serious threat as a receiver at the TE position.

Snyder will be an added threat next year to go along with Carter. Having both on the field at the same time will cause match up issues for defenses.
