Any chance that Nebraska lands either Allen or Murray? I saw the thread about Kyle but after watching Kyler dismantle the best teams in Texas year after year, this guy might at least merit his own discussion. There is a lot of talent leaving the QB spot in Aggieland this offseason and some teams might gain their signal caller of the future .

 
He is good yes.. but we dont want him here.. He is also a baseball guy that could stop playing football at any minute to just play baseball. Second do we need another dad all up in our Qb business? Answer is no. Let him go pout some where else with his dad about how Qbs were handled.

I disagree that we don't want him here. If he does decide to go play baseball at some point, then it's no different than if he never plays football here to begin with. If he doesn't, then we have a better option at QB than what we already have (pending O'Brien not being named the starter at any point next season).

I don't get into these threads about QBs transferring, because very few of them ever give Nebraska a serious look, but if he actually wanted to transfer to Nebraska, I certainly wouldn't be against it.

Still dont need him here. Our Staff wont be able to run an offense that suites him.

Pretty sure we're in no position to just turn away extremely talented QB's. The dude was a 5 star coming out of high school we could absolutely use him on the team, and like Hammerhead said if he joins the baseball team then good for the baseball team! Jameis Winston was a football and baseball player that turned out alright. And wasn't Cam Newton's dad very involved when he was going through college? Pretty sure that's why he wasn't invited to the Heisman ceremony. Anyways back to the point, the kid is talented we should try to bring him in.

That said I highly doubt we're being considered.

Well if we go by Cam Newton's story them Murry will still have another stop after coming here.

But like most are and have said he is going to play baseball and get his money. Wont be playing football next year.

 
Why would we want these guys when Pat O'Brien is the second coming of Peyton Manning?

After this year, anyone in comparison would look like Peyton Manning, so why dish on those who are hoping for an improvement.

 
247 article said Nebraska is one of the 4 schools that have been talking with him the most since he announced his transfer. Along with Oklahoma, Colorado State, and Houston.

Not necessarily his Top 4 but he is considering the schools that talk to him the most.

I would love to see him transfer here honestly. I don't remember the last time we've had any sort of QB depth. Tommy has been the starter for 3 years and he still is a turnover machine. Patrick O'Brien needs someone to push him for the starting role. Tommy has had zero competition to take his starting position away. I don't see how this could be a bad thing if he did end up coming here.

With that being said, I don't see him coming here. Just interesting that we reached out and are one of 4 schools talking with him the most
