Clock Management

Who has been studying end of of a game clock management from who?

Nebraska from the KC Chiefs or KC from Nebraska.

Why are these things so hard for some?

PS - I heard KC was late to the airport and missed their plane home. Any guesses why?

No, there just isn't much to say about this post. Nebraska struggled early with game and clock management but got better down the stretch.

KC is a pro team and just simply wasted at least 4 minutes at the end of a playoff game.

I think the Chiefs could have run maybe one or two different plays to utilize the 2:00 warning.

Otherwise they were simply running the only offense that works for the Chiefs. That's who they are.

They are not better than the New England Patriots. That shouldn't be surprising or hit anyone close to home.

Hopefully a lesson has been learned by the coaching staff and this is not a blind spot that exists on the NU sideline during the next season.

Oh without a doubt. The Chiefs loss to the Patriots was for sure the eye opener Mike Riley and Danny Langsdorf needed.

Jim Harbaugh had multiple seasons of poor clock management with the San Francisco 49ers but he seems to be doing okay.

Kansas City neglected to complete a SINGLE touchdown to a wide receiver from the end of the '13 season until the beginning of the '15 season, IIRC.

That in and of itself says a lot about the Chiefs and what it takes for them to win football games.

Note to self......

Don't draft any KC WRs next year.

Or it says that Chiefs fans have some progress to recognize. They've won a lot of games without a complete team...but they're more complete than they've been historically (when it has largely been great defenses and poor QB play).

I don't offer that as a criticism, necessarily, just to be clear. It just means they rely on a strong defense and rushing attack to win them games.

Strong defense and rushing attack. Where have I heard that before?

Seattle Seahawks in recent years, perhaps?
