I had on private. Changed to public - let me know if it now works.Tells me I need permission...
This is probably a one year blip.yeah, for whatever reason we have all but lost the Texas connection....sad.
exactly, too many good football schools for kids to stay at home for.......Texas, A&M, Baylor, TCU, even Houston........Texas kids have every reason to stay home now.Texas is now a tough sale too many tier 2 schools that now look attractive (Baylor, TCU, etc..). If we get one or two great. California is good for the next 2-5 years.
To be honest, so has Oklahoma--only four this year. It's what Bevo TV, lots of viable in-state FBS teams, and the SEC (network) have done.yeah, for whatever reason we have all but lost the Texas connection....sad.
A. Recruiting is about relationships (see Langs comments about his close relationship with POB's HS coach) and this staff has few to none in Texas. So, wassup with TX? What happened there? Anybody?
Meh, we gotta get back into Tejas. I'm sure there are 2-3 TX guys at least that would be glad to come to NU.A. B. There's less of a story to tell nowadays to a Texas kid. Under the B12, and even the B8, at least once or twice a year a kid would be playing close to home, even if he went to NU. That's not the case anymore. Makes it much harder to recruit (and retain) those guys.
It's going to be harder and harder to do. NU hasn't played in Texas since 2010. Baylor, TCU, and Houston are becoming attractive alternatives within the state. Meanwhile, A&M is using the fact that they play in the SEC to their advantage, and the other SEC schools are using A&M as an in to come recruit Texas.Meh, we gotta get back into Tejas.
