Oregon Installing LED Football Field

Wasn't really sure if it was a prank at first, because LED turf is a real thing and something we'll start to see popping up in upcoming years.

I imagine in the near future the chain gangs will no longer be needed because they'll have some technology like this put in place and the football will have some sort of sensor that corresponds with the turf, helping to both spot the ball and figure out first down or touchdown

The NFL already tested rfid tracking in player's shoulder pads this past season. They plan to put one in the football soon.

Doesn't the NCAA have rules in place on what the field can look like (color)? Maybe this will meet those requirements since it will look like an actual field during play.
