The article said that Tom's son Mike set up the meeting, yet you claim that the active intention was on the part of Osborne.
The article also says that Riley aimed to talk to Osborne about three things. Again, you claim that Osborne was the one that wanted this, yet the article paints a different picture.
The article also says that the majority of the meeting wasn't about football at all. Again, you claim that Osborne wanted the meeting specifically to talk about his offensive system, yet the article, once again, says something different.
The article also does not go into any sort of specificity on what Osborne actually said. It only quotes Riley explaining that he believes you have to be able to run the ball, and nothing more.
Frankly, I'm surprised (being sarcastic) that you, someone who routinely hides behind weak defenses of semantics or your words being taken out of context, can, in good conscience, make such a bullsh#t claim as this one and then link an article that doesn't support what you said to a single degree.

Demonstrates your knowledge of husker history. Those offenses were anything but "throw heavy."
And, Osborne, over 30 years, moved to his system for some specific reasons dictated by the reality of his circumstances.
It's cool. We'll see how the current departure plays out the next few years.

Demonstrates you're knowledge of football in general. With the exception of Auburn no one in the final top 10 passed for more yards than NU in 1971. Oklahoma and Alabama attempted less than 100 passes, most teams were around 150 attempts. Nebraska had 300. For the era NU could legitimately be called a pass heavy team.
