SI top 20 busts

I kind of think Lavar Arrington belongs on the list. He was drafted high, but Gibbs didn't even play him that much. Lots of skills, but he just doesn't get it done.

I think that they could of put Johnny Mitchell or Kyle Brady on that list instead of Trev.
Kyle Brady? Where did you come up with that one???

12 Seasons

183 Games

166 Starts

334 Receptions

3449 Yards

23 TD's

Not to mention he's missed something like 9 or 10 games over his career.

And while Johnny Mitchell wasn't a long-tenured TE in the league, he wasn't bad

5 Seasons

57 Games

159 Receptions

2103 Yards

16 TD's

And in a NFL mock draft there is a comment that the Jets may draft Greg Olsen this year giving them something they "have not had since Johnny Mitchell...a well-rounded tight end that can catch and block".

Do you just have something against TE's?!?!?

Arrington keeps himself on NFL rosters by making a some huge Sportscenter Highlight plays that people remember more than the really dumb overpursuing, leaving the field open for a cutback, plays.

I thought Arrington would be a perennial all-pro after his career at PSU, he was just a freak. But apparently his reluctance to learn the playbook kept him off the field in Washington, and he's been injured off and on for the past two years.

Just a quick reply about Lawrence, I was watching the NFL network last night and they had their "Top 10 Draft Busts" on and Phillips was only #8. I mean, thats not good, but at least he wasn't top 5. And yes, Leaf was far and away #1.

What irritates me is that it's never "former Rams/Dolphins/49ers RB Lawrence Phillips", its always "former Husker Lawrence Phillips.

I was watching ESPN last night and they were going through the Top 10 best drafts by teams. The 1996 draft by the Baltimore Ravens ended up I believe 6th. It was kind of funny because they were showing clips of Phillips. They said they wanted to take him as their first pick that year, but their drafting guru overrode the others and selected offensive lineman Ogden. He should have gotten a raise after that decision!
