I really love me some Les Miles, but to be fair, ever since that curbstomping Bama gave them in the 2011 title game rematch they haven't done anything special or of note.

 
People said we were crazy for firing a coach after a 9-win season... Miles averaged TEN wins per season during his tenure at LSU.

Rumors are already swirling that he may land at another SEC school -- Miss St., South Carolina...

Or, at least his son should start recruiting all of their 4 and 5 star recruits to come here....

Just went to the LSU message board. Kind of surprised how many folks wanted him gone...

 
I have mixed emotions about this. I know LSU fans had had enough. Despite the wins he did seem to struggle last few years and Bama took all of their thunder. They never could get their offense worked out. That being said, they barely lost to a top 10 Wisconsin team in Green Bay and lost on a bang-bang call @Auburn. I guess if they were not going to wait to play this season out, then letting him go was what they needed to do. Surprised how other teams just up and pull the plug quickly mid-season. I am interested to see what USC does...if they pull the plug mid-season again this year that will be basically the norm for that program. I guess LSU saved Miles last year so they'll probably argue they gave him this season to turn it around and 2-2 does not cut it.

 
Bobby Petrino or Tom Herman come on downnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn. Although if Houston some how gets in the Big 12 this seems less likely.

I have to smile at the former Wisky D coordinator who left a now 4-0 team to be on a staff where his head coach was just fired.

 
In addition to USC, there are a lot of fans upset at Oregon right now. Not sure if Miles has any interest in the West coast, but the Pac-12 is having a down year and there will probably be some openings.
