I have had a lot of bad luck since I bought my new 2002 Volkswagen Passat GLX five years ago. Now I'm being honest with you. I have had during this period four accidents. Yes, I'm telling you the honest truth. None were my fault. Two times during this period, my Passats (yes I got a 2002 GLX replacement the first time) were totaled out! I now replaced it with a new 2007 Honda Accord EX, four door, V6. Pray for me guys that I have no more accidents. This is getting really old!

No ARhusker, I don't need your help. My neck and back are just dandy.

Good luck been in that situation before....................granted I was 16 to 17 years old, but been there got the t-shirt and the bruises from the a$$-whooping I got from my dad after a few (6 or so in about a year) accidents.

Don't be noble, go for the gold!!!!!

One an unrelated note, are you related to Nicole? Do we need to start a Counter for you and cars?

Well there is good news, you shouldn't have too much mechanical problems for a long time. Honda's/Acura's are good cars (mechnically) i have an '01 Accord (two door coupe) and haven't had ANY problems...except when i hit that deer

Actually I did get the extended warrenty. And I agree that the Honda Accord is a very good car and has an excellent reliability record. Except for the accidents, which is bad luck enough, I actually didn't have trouble during the five years with my two Passats. While Consumer Reports has rated the new Passat as very good, the publication doesn't rate the used ones very good. So I guess with all the bad luck I have had, I had good luck with dependability.

I don't know sometimes about the accuracy of Consumer Reports. For years, it has rated the reliability of Mercedes as poor, but I know someone who owns the Mercedes M 320 SUV. He has had no problems with it. So who knows. I supposed any car could be a lemon. And we all have known people who have own them.

That's what I thought, but my gf has a 07 accord purchased in March and it has been in the shop twice. Once for the tranny and once for the A/C. Hopefully that is it with repairs. At least it is still under warranty.
