Just decommitted due to distance from home

Distance from home but still considering Michigan and Michigan State...

So 17 hour drive is fine.

21 hour drive is just TOOO much.

Anyway, if he doesn't stay close to Florida, it wasn't about distance from home.
Where did you understand that Michigan and Michigan State are still in it?

Yeah, doing it first day of dead period just says how highly he thought of us and the respect he had for us....

Meaning he doesn't.
Oh the drama!

The dead period allows for phone calls. It only does not allow in person face to face contact.
Dude I know. Which is my point. We can't go out to any new recruits homes, which sucks.
We have to move on to other prospects. Being able to call/text them is fine. Our coaches are plenty busy getting ready to play an SEC team in a bowl game in 17 days.

Wow. His Dad told him to not decommit until NSD! Lol talk about terrible advice.

His son was the one who thought highly enough of Nebraska to notify them last night.

Where did you see that Matty?

Or my read on that, is that dad thought he was making a big mistake, and that in the few months between now and NSD he'd swing back. That time after your last season ends and you start thinking about leaving can be pretty scary and emotional for some. I'm betting if dad was trying to get him to delay it was because he thinks after some deep breaths and slowing down a bit in the long run he''d stay.

Online radio interview Hail Varsity.

He may have meant that, but hard to know.

Wouldn't say who his son was interested in now or if door is closed on Nebraska, but sure sounded as it were.

I would find it really hard to imagine that we would still be in consideration given that we didn't do anything wrong besides our location.

I interpreted like Martty. The dad said that he would wait until signing day because players decommit all the time. Kid said that he had too much respect for our coaches to leave them out to dry, which the dad respected. So I'm definitely glad he decomitted when he did

His father said he was going to the high school soccer game to watch his girlfriend. This is the most likely reason. The one position that the Huskers couldn't afford to lose a commit and this might be one of two.

We can start in home again in mid January.

Still no need for the cheap shot at the kid
