USA Today Report Card

Nine wins. Wooooooooooooooo! Next year is the year, until it's not. Then it'll be 2018.
Not 2018
2019!?
Question....
What do you enjoy about following a sports team?
Answer: winning. You?
OK...we won more than we lost this year. So...I'm assuming you mean winning championships.

All of us would love to have multiple championships over the last 15 years. But, you do realize that's a rare thing right? So, are you able to actually enjoy a sports team in years where then win more than they lose even though they don't win a championship?
For me, I enjoy every single game. I love meeting up with friends, catching up, goofing around, watching the game and having some beers. When they lose it sucks but it doesn't ruin my day. About the only difference I notice when it comes to wins/losses is that when they win we tend to party a little more...when they lose we tend to leave sooner.

I'm just asking because I find it interesting when a fan does nothing but make snide remarks, be sarcastic, ridicule things happening in the program...etc.

It must just be horrible being a Husker fan for you right now.
There's a significant, and unfortunately tremendously vocal, portion of the fan base who do nothing but b!^@h. They b!^@h about the recruits we didn't get, they b!^@h about the coaches we didn't hire, they b!^@h about the coaches we did hire, they b!^@h about the games we lose, they b!^@h about the games we didn't win well enough, they b!^@h when the backups don't play enough, they b!^@h about the administration, they b!^@h about the conference we're in, they b!^@h about the conference we left, they b!^@h about the other conferences, they b!^@h about the uniforms, they b!^@h about the press, they b!^@h about the coaches who used to coach here, they b!^@h about... everything. Constantly. And they don't see a problem with it, or that it's weird to do nothing but b!^@h that their expectations aren't met.

It is. I'm losing sleep. My hair is falling out. I'm not eating well. I have these enormous headaches where I almost black out.

Well, I mean, these things might happen if I based my life and purpose of being on this planet on sports and how my sports teams are doing.

B- ? They clearly don't read HuskerBoard. This team gets an F---- according to about half the people who post here.

It's a Z- during game threads.
HAHA! The game threads, from what I have seen, are so funny because they are so negative!
The game threads are super funny to read. If NU gives up a 5 yard pass, it's a bunch of freak outs about how our DB's aren't Lockdown U!!!
That kind of stupidity is why I don't go into the game threads.

I'll add that they think they have the right to subject everyone else to their bitchiness.

Agree.....I just don't see the enjoyment in that.

Then I would suggest you not do it. I guess I'm not sure why everyone thinks I'm so miserable just because I don't like the coaches. I personally love getting together with friends to watch every game and root for the Huskers. Once the game is over, I make sure to avoid this place and go about my day.

and the rampant excuses are like finger nails on a black board to those of us, that really care.
